Case Study 1 :: CRIS - The Client Referral & Information System
The Client Referral & Information System, CRIS, is an Internet software package used by financial advisers and professional connections to actively manage client referrals whilst producing management information and compliance records for each party. The CRIS enables users to approach financial services (FS) needs in a totally uniform manner.
The detailed audit trail produced by the CRIS will allow the introducing practice to demonstrate that referrals have been made to a specialist third party and that the practice has not been involved in the FS advice process - they will equally be able to demonstrate that the firm has addressed a client’s needs, even if they declined financial advice.
Once the need has been established, CRIS will confirm the appointed financial advisers firm details, before completing the process as an on-line Client Referral System - this ensures the introducer can prove, for their own compliance purposes, that their client has been offered or provided with relevant financial advice.
The ease of referring means that introducers no longer shy away from the laborious process of recording the referral, then working out whom to pass the referral on to, but simply refer the client with a few “clicks of the mouse”.
The “client referral system” allows the financial adviser to keep the referring practice informed as to what stage of the financial advice process the client is in by simply updating the referral record.
In addition, on-line management information is available to ensure evaluation meetings can be used to show an accurate representation of past referral levels from the introducer whilst FS conversion rates can be monitored for future income projections.
CRIS was developed by Richard Davis of NexMedia to the strict specifications laid out by Phil Pringle and Trevor Hinds of Immanis and CRIS.UK.COM ltd. Although the system is now complete and fully operational NexMedia continue to develop and enhance this product and are delighted to be involved with such an exciting and rapidly expanding venture.
